Southern African Chapter of the Association for Information Systems
AISSAC is the Southern African Chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). AIS is the premier professional association for individuals and organizations, which leads the research, teaching, practice, and study of Information Systems worldwide.
AISSAC aims to serve the needs of members and the community across the Southern African region. AISSAC also provides an entry into the South African network of Academics, Information Systems professionals, as well as IS students, through the AISSAC student chapter.
We invite you to learn more about our chapter and join us as a member of AISSAC. Through an inclusive and supportive network of IS Scholars and professionals, the purpose of the Chapter is to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge.
AISSAC has also formed a strategic alliance with AIS Chapters from Region 2 of the AIS (Europe, Middle East and Africa) to promote more diversity, equity, inclusivity and ethics in AIS.
Our flagship event, the annual AISSAC seminar, is the highlight of the AISSAC calendar, offering an opportunity for close interaction among participants. The audience includes senior faculty, masters and doctoral students and international visitors. This seminar offers an opportunity for close interaction among presenters and attendees. Features of the program include papers, panels, workshops and tutorials from all areas of information systems.
Please join AISSAC and let’s support each other to create an inclusive IS community across the Southern African Continent.
